visa on arrival at the airport

Post new topic

Hello,

I have read somewhere that there have been changes at Tan Son Nhat airport regarding the visa on arrival procedure.

I usually have to wait around 1hr for a stamp when I arrive (and pay 35USD).

Is it now possible to go straight through to passport control?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Not to my knowledge. There is an option with the pre-arranged visa on arrival, but about the waiting times/differences I have no idea.

A per-arranged visa produces a Letter of Invitation with an authorisation number.

Upon arrival you have no visa and therefor you go to the Visa Window On the left as you enter Immigration and apply for a visa.

YOU WILL NEED: The Letter, 2 photographs (actually only one), USD$ and an Application. You CAN SAVE TIME by downloading an application form from the InterNet.

I also suggest when you get your Letter you make a copy and STAPLE IT IN YOUR PASSPORT at the back. This will be needed to be read by the airlines and keeping it there will make it easy at check-in time.

The other copy should be in a baggie with your Application, pix, etc.

ALWAYS remember, a Letter will get you a Visa and a Visa will get you to Immigration check-in. BUT the Immigration control officer can vary ANY condition of your visa. Smile nicely.

Some airlines don't know what the letter means. This because their SITA computer is wrong. They may ask you to sign a waiver - just sign and forget.

And AVOID American, they are in bankruptcy ND THE PILOTS ARE WORKING TO RULE.

You should take the visa in advance, because singapore airport the immigration won't allow you take the flight. Last time my European partner couldn't flight from singapore to vietnam, the singapore immigration won't allow him to flight
Normal it's take 3 days for the visa and the fees is 50$
