Spanish Divorce

Hi, I am hoping that someone here, maybe able to offer some advice.
Sadly I am going through a messy divorce. I was married in Moscow to a Spanish guy and we moved to Malaga. In order for me to get residency status in Malaga, we got the Russian marriage recognised in Spain. Sadly the marriage did not work out and I was forced (through unacceptable behaviour of my ex), to leave Spain having only lived there for just over 12 months.

After I left, my ex, apparently 'divorced' me. I now need to get divorced according to Russian law, and the one document I am missing is the Spanish divorce papers.

Does anyone know how I can obtain a copy of my Spanish Divorce papers? Must I appoint a Spanish Lawyer, or can I appoint a third party through a 'power of attorney' to obtain this paper?

Any help guidance anyone can offer, will be very much appreciated.
thanks

Evgenia
