It's the little things that make me smile

Ok, so anyone who read my previous thread will realise that I'm having an online love in with Vietnam this week and I want to capitalise on my momentum by starting another thread.  Whilst their is a risk of being overly cheesy I'm going for it anyway.

Rules of this thread.  Please post three small things that make you happy about living here, either things that happened to you or daily experiences.  I'm talking about the small things in life (see mine below) rather than life-affirming ones (falling in love etc) but anything is welcome. Maybe you are not happy here overall, but I'm sure everyone can come up with three good things.

I'll start with 1,2,3 and the next person should go 4,5,6. Let's see how many good things our community can come up with.

1. I love it when small children say hello and wave to me when I'm riding my motorbike.

2. I love sitting in bar or coffee shops and watching the madness go past in front of me.

3. I loved my saying my first sentence in Vietnamese which wasn't taught to me as a complete phrase but one that I just add-libbed in conversation from other words I'd learnt.  (It was "No, I'm not French. I'm English, I don't like the French) Which isn't the slightest bit true but it came into my head and I said it and the reaction on the face of the lady in the shop was priceless.  Apologies to any French on here, I love you really.

7. I love it when children and adults pat my stomach and say you have baby? I laugh and say yes baby elephant :D
8. I love how every morning I drag my sorry arse out of bed at 6am and head to work, within 2 minutes of being on my bike the warmth of the sun on my face I stop feeling so sorry for myself.
9. I love it when strangers walk up and say hello for no reason other than to be friendly. Ok so maybe they want to practice English, but I enjoy it :)

I could add more, but will let some others contribute first :)

13. I love The natural food here. As a Chinese, we - breath in 'colorful' air( it get tast too, its sweet!), - eat very questionable food( DO never go to the kitchen of a restaurant, and DO never ask what you are eating, just eat it!), - drink poison milk( ask people from HongKong, they got lots to tell!)

14. I love The liveness here. Most places in Europe( include America) are peace and quiet, Only it's too quiet! In fact, you wouldn't find any restaurant or shop open later night. The only few services you have is in hospital or police station, and I don't want any of that.

15. I love The security here. Some people might disagree, but if you have lived Arica you know what I'm talking about. Just few days earlier, our warehouse in Burundi has been 'visited' by 16 armed man. 6000 USD lost, some machines lost. 4 workers (two Chinese) terrified. And its Second Time! - me myself have been pointed by AK-47 while travel to Congo. -  Nigeria bandits often rob bank in Benin at midnight, and run away before morning. Etc.

Before I come to Vietnam, many Chinese people warn me that Vietnamese people do not like or even Hostile toward us due to the history. But i been Vietnam almost 2 months and people here it's not like that at all! They are friendly and lovely people! They don't treat us any differently.
I start reflect and learned a big lesson.       You can't judge anything just basic on your assumption or logical deduction, you can't judge all the Vietnamese people based on few unfriendly vietnamese people in china.
You want know Vietnam, then you must come to see by yourself! What i found is They already moved on but  we didn't.  And if we still have those negative energy in our mind, not only Vietnamese people don't like it, nobody in the world will like it. Because what energy you give it's what you will receive.
So they use their Hospitality to make those critics eat their words! Well done.

Plus, I love Vietnam
