Racism in Germany

Post new topic

Hi everyone !

I always listen that germans are very closed with foreigners, and if you aren´t a german they will let you know that u are not welcome there, that for any age, social group or place where you come.

What about your experience that you could share me?, it will be very important to know from people that live there.

Thanks!

Hi,

NOT TRUE at all !

Germans are open and friendly in general :D

As in most countries, there is a small (but often noisy) racist minority in Germany.
But most Germans are quite open and tolerant.
They might appear closed because they are not outgoing (compared to some other nationalities), but they appreciate if you do the first step towards them and become friendly quickly.

I would say that germans are maybe not as outgoing as people from other countries might be, they are quite closed.

But I would definitely not label them as racists or not being welcoming to people from other countries. On the contrary, I think in that perspective they are very openminded.

I am German and we have that racist problem more in the East of Germany. I don´t know why.
