Any information about Kutayha?

Hello everyone!
My husband and I have just been offered positions at Dumlupinar University in Kutahya. We are now considering whether or not to accept the offer (which we find attractive from a financial point of view). Does anyone live in Kutahya who could share with us their experience? We would be moving with our two children (ages 3 and 5), so we are also interested in hearing about the experience of expat families living there. Are there a lot of expats there? Are there a lot of family-friendly activities in Kutahya? Is your experience generally positive? Where do your children go to school?, etc.
Any information would help!
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Catherine

Dear Catherine,
Actually Kutahya city located in middle of the Turkey and not Touristical or industrial city so finding expat is nearly imposible over there. I dont know where you are coming from but there will be positive and negative thinks you need to match.
Positive thinks
-It will be new experiences for you and your family
-Turkish people likes strangers and will warm welcome for you
-Kutahya is cheap city to live
-Close to modern cities such as Izmir 2 hours by car,4 hours to Antalya by car and capital city Ankaya 3 hours.

Negatives:
- Do not expect European culture. This is a conservative city,
- There can be education problem for your kids,
-As far as I see you are an academist and will work in university.Do not expect European academic quality.

Those are the things which comes to mind. I hope will be beneficial for you.
Thanks
