Emigrating from UK to SA

Hi All

My long term partner and I are seriously thinking of emigrating to SA as we have fallen in love with it.聽 Some of his family have already emigrated there some years ago - his Mother, Father, Brother, Uncle and Cousins so we are confident in our support network.

He is a trained Commercial/Industrial electrician and I am a Personal Assistant are main worries are whether we will be able to find work easily and a safe place to live.

Any tips and thoughts on areas and opportunities?

Hi i am suggesting he sends his cv to various local companies mainly in the power generation sector as there is currently a massive shortage of skill in this country. He can try at Eskom to start with which is the local power supply company in South Africa.
For you it may be a problem as there is oversupply in the sector in office workers. With regards to safe places to live: i suggest the limited access enviroments where you have a complex developments with limited access securities which have been quite effective in crime controlling.
