Hi,

looking for hyderabadi female friends...
Hello mahi.
Welcome to Bahrain.
For better visibility, I recommend you start a new topic.
Best wishes.
Hello Guys!
Tinz I'm also new here in Bahrain, and doing the same thing.
I tried to look for photography club but no success so far.
Hope we can shoot together.
I'm looking into a Supply Chain director offer , and I am considering the change between the comfort zone of P&G and working in my country VS travelling and starting a career of EXPAT... And you as new comers , what do you think ?
tinzdiaz wrote:... photography clubs ... :-)
Good morning Tinz,
We've a group named as "Bahrain Photo Walk Club" on FB for pro's and hobbyists and its link is as following:
facebook.com/groups/photowalkclub/
Starting from November (or before, if the weather is not too much hot for walking), we'll start "photo walk"s again.
Also I and my friends (5-8 people) will start meetings again for movie nights.
See you

Where are you working and staying?
I came on 20/03/2013 and living at Company flat at Tubli 5 kms from Manama and working at Site Office Al-Dur approx 36 kms. from Tubli.
Hi all,
Its been a long time since I was last on here. Hope everyone is okay. Have been wanting to come to visit Bahrain a long time ago but circumstances have prevented me from doing so. Right now the plan is to come in November. So here's hoping I can get all the genuine info from you guys out there. Take care.

Hi
Why would you want to hang out in a Mall? There are better places..... City Centre Mall is the biggest and not far from Bahrain Mall if that's the sort of thing you like
Hi. Thanks for replying. Better places like where? I guess I want to pass time I was getting bored at the hotel just watching news. Trying to stay up during the day so I can adjust to the time difference faster
It helps to say what your interests are. There are cinema's in Dana Mall, Seef Mall and in City Centre Mall.
There are expat clubs where you can go and have a drink, watch sport or just lie around the pool and socialise.
Ok thanks. I'll try the malls first.
Not really big into drinking and Id rather not watch a movie by myself. I'll look into expat clubs later where can I find details about these expat clubs?
Brightonguy runs a movie club and he lives in Seef, give him a message. About 12 or so go to the cinema on a regular basis and then they go for dinner later.
Expat clubs - just google
Dilmun Club
British Club
Rugby Club
Yacht Club
Country Club
Well the choices are limited for me.. I'm not British, I don't play rugby or own a yacht. Lol.
Thanks again
You don't need to be British, play a sport or own a yacht, they are just names.
I see you like movies so contact Brightonguy and ask if you can join his movie club
Why is a strange pic of me appearing cos i am deff not him
There are loads of things to do to keep you occupied, SleeplessinBahrain.
If you like to take a look at something very local, try walking down the Manama Souq. Maybe a visit to a local cafe - some Arabic coffee and "sheesha" (water pipe) if you smoke. If you have a car, then drive around to see some of the forts and archeological sites, the Tree of Life, Causeway. You also can visit Al-Fateh Grand Mosques and get a guide to show you around. Maybe a spin around the night spots in Juffair. The expat clubs are a good way to socialize and you should give them a try too.
Hope this would give you a few ideas. Welcome to Bahrain and best wishes.
Look at Time Out Bahrain website. They have extensive list of points of interest you can go and see in Bahrain.
