OK, its in the heart of the city on Old Airport Road, not too far away from my work place. Nice old hotel, comfortable and clean smack bang opposite the Saudi Royal Naval HQ.
Call me when you come in.

.... and I'm still in the visa queue and now aiming to be in Riyadh on the 1st May...ho hum
(My husband is due for his Dubai visa run on the 28th, so we will meet up there...two days in Dubai with him should soften my Riyadh landing;))
So much of expat life is about, 'Hurry Up and Wait!'
and girls....
have a lovely evening...finally:)
Yes, loanna - enjoy Dubai
may I accompany my wife?
Actually it would be 'legal' for you to do so since I in a 'family building' but then we'd have to listen to all the other guys in this forum b*tching they weren't invited
Additionally, I don't think you'd be comfortable outnumbered by so many EAGLES!!!
Think you can make the Turkish Embassy Bazaar next Saturday? That's the perfect opportunity for ALL of us to meet (and I understand aticus is bringing roses for the guys.. you have a choice of pink or red lol).

Is it Saturday or Tghursday (22)?
Do we have to come to the Turkish Embassy?
Will try and bring the whole gang along
yes nonz - flower identification sounds like a good idea
oooh - my first party in Saudi
I will keep the cauliflower for my identification
Ummmm.. won't that be kinda heavy behind your ear?
(sometimes I crack me up! lol)
my first party in Saudi
Not exactly a party--more of a 'meet up.'Â But with any luck there will be tables and chairs and we can all hang out, eating and chatting and getting to know each other.
BTW.. the 'roses' thing started out as a joke, but 'flower identification' isn't a bad idea. How about a prize for the person who has the flower in the most unusual place?
Butt if I put it there - no one will see it. LOL
As it's next Saturday is that the 17th or 24th?

why not have the flowers in a vase laid on a table and everyone can simply look for the table. Someone needs to take the lead and be seated at the table early. Maybe its good to mention a time?

NAH,Its just perfect for me .In fact i m thinking to have garland of it
jillndave wrote:Butt if I put it there - no one will see it. LOL
Hehehehe this is true ,Rose would look beautiful over there,in fact i tried the same place but my mum told me I should not atleast cover it
with my hat or my hair not gonna look beautiful
why not have the flowers in a vase laid on a table
Good idea, musicman, but what if there aren't tables? The bazaar I went to was outdoors ... there were food vendors but only just a few benches here and there along the street (ie. nobody set up tables). My colleagues and myself managed to grab a bench in the shade and had a wonderful afternoon. But .. no tables.
I believe aticus said it runs from 11:00-17:00? What time frame is good? Doesn't matter to me. Whatever time the majority wants to be 'arrival' is fine.
i tried the same place
nonzie is so naive  The key word was 'butt' lol
