ethiopian price rises

hello there , i have been to ethiopia before and since coming back i have heard that the price of living and existing has risen a significant amount, i was just wondering if there was anyone on this site who would know anything about it. In november i am planning on going to ethiopia and i will return to welkite to see my partners mum, but the reason im asking about the money is that im hoping to take all of the family to lake langano and hire a chalet and tent for a week or so. if any one has any info , even basic things on how much a coffee is now to how much you can expect to pay in a hotel, would be greatly appreciated. god bless, wayne x ps we always stayed at the extreme hotel in addis, lovely place, shall return there again in nov.

hi,
we shall be hopefully being posted to addis soon, i was wondering what the cost of a litre of diesel would be and also domestic staff per month,eg a cook/cleaner and a guard.

i would also like to know the approximate cost of a desent 2nd hand landcruiser.

any help appreciated

I was in Addis in second week of May. The prices聽 for food as per local people have goneup by 40 % in last one year. The petrol is about USD o.90/litre.

Helllo Mr dubey ,
I got selected for a deputation for a tenure of 6 months in addis ababa and wud be staying there .
As u are already there please let me know the cst of living in ethiopia so that i can plan my trip in the same way and shud be prepared for any kind of expenditure .
