Hey guys,
Suddenly I just came up with this idea. Anyone here have passion for food? Indonesian especially. Or want to start learning how to cook but dont know how? You can join me in this group and we can have a cooking party together once or twice a month, prefferably on Saturday or Sundays.
We could start at someone's place, then change to another person's place the next time and so on.
Lunch or dinner is fine for me, we can go make a trip together to the grocery store to pick the ingredients. All the cost will be shared together.
I am in China at the moment, but will be back in two weeks time and will be staying in Jakarta for a while. So please, comment here or send me a private message if you are interested!!
Greetings from the food lover.
no one is interested? what a shame, of course I'm interested, I will share recipes
sadly I have no big kitchen, but I might have a decent one in 1-2 years.. but.. that's still long time to go
Can use my place of course
My Rendeng is getting better
Ah, finally some people are interested! Lol
Yea, we can definitely use Sam's kitchen. Haha.
Ofcourse can use mine too if I got a decent one when I'm back!
Sam, bring me some rendang on Wednesday then! Let me be the judge
I am interested. I was going to offer you my place, but its too small I guess. And too far
Let me know when!

How about the Sunday on the last weekend in October. 27th maybe

Any suggestion for the menu? Hehe. Lets pick a country!
Given the thread topic let's start with Indonesian
Bit if you want to try German we could buy some sausage skins and pickle some cabbage. Wait, that sounds English as well
Hahaha, I am not a big fan of Saeurkraut! Yes, Indonesian... what was I thinking! Duh! Lol
You ever tried the Indonesian version of "sausage"? Well, we call it Sosis but .. yea, I'm not getting anywhere near them. Though you could probably give it a try
Suggestion of Indonesian dishes to cook anyone?

Aabie is probably right. Its Urap, mixed of steamed veggies with spicy shredded coconut dressing?
As for sinta_sinta, the profile is banned, how can s(he) still be active here??

Thanks Abbie and Annie, I'll try to make Urap sometime
And is SInta_Sinta a ghost? might be an interesting evening if we go to her/his large house for dinner in the evening...
Banned probably due to me reporting the said person, but I am sure that he will reappear as someone else. I guess the moderators have decided not to remove the posts.

Sinta Sinta appears as Iain Lawrie who is "a handsome guy with thousand talents, i am Arjuna chasing for Shinta"
What does that mean?
aabie ryan wrote:ghost?
do we need an exorcism?
Let's call ghostbusters
Hahaha!
Though I still think that she's the Indonesian girl named Sinta.
I'm just assuming on her Bahasa Inggris and her knowledge of Arjuna and Sinta? Haha.
I think she sent me a PM one time and said she lives in Kasablanka!!
I'll check again!! Lololol. So important. Haha
that person is banned? too bad, I enjoyed the surrealism it brought into the forums
Ah I thought the guy was something worse than that.

Ummm
You thought Santa was a guy?
Or was it Ian posting photos of Santa
Or did Santa have a change of heart and a lot of surgery?
I'm confused ;( do I need to get all gender ambiguous to carry on with this thread?
Ian and/or Santa please post a real new profile ...
Count me in for the cooking! Not sure for the ghostbusting lol
