I am very interested for the six questions you have posted...We searched and finalised a 2bhk room in Ainkawa,a very decent villa. That day I was feeling on the top of the world, because it was exactly the type we have wanted.I feel myself the lukiest one amongst all...because I have seen my friends who has been searching since last 3 months and everytime they told me there is no availability in Ainkawa and Bhaktiary...
Well, this was not the point....my concerned started when the dealer sent us to the Assayish....held lots of formalities....
First we went to the Assayish, they said that we have to meet the mukhtar of the locality first....and ofcourse the dealer was so decent and helpful enough to guide us to the mukhtar because the mukhtar can't speak english...
Then we have been sent to the mayor office to meet some Mr.XXXX,there we came to know that he is not there,he will come in another 1 hour...So,inspite of having his office to report ASAP...we waited for 1 hour...but lucky or unlucky I don't know...he came exactly after 1 hour....then we were guided to the Assayish again, where another Mr.XXX signed n stamped the paper...but believe me,the form we were carrying was not left with any space for any person to sign or stamp....we were happy n we thought that it was through....
but that was not the end.....we were told to go the babylon assayish again....There again we waited for another half an hour to sign and stamp by another Mr.XXX....phewwww.....thought that now finally through...but not again they send us to another room where they said that we have to make your another profile in form,in which they strictly said its 2'o'clock closing time...so comne tommorrow 9am with all the docs....and kept our form full with stamps with him.We felt love with that form and feel like we should framed this form, after going through all these processes...but no the guy didn't give us the form...n said he ll not speak to any person on phone...u have to bring a translator along with you because he can't speak english.....
Guys... u must be thinking this is the end of the process but no...next day we again went with a kurdish translator.but again the guy said only kurdish speaker is not enough....bring somebody who can speak kurdish as well as english....ahhhhhhh....I m now tired writing the process so u all can imagine how hectic the process would be...it seems like we are not renting a house...we are buying or investing a property.....
So,tommorrrow again we will arrange a both langauge speaker translator and go there...so guys please wish me luck and do suggest us and guide us if somebody has cleared this complex process of assayish...
Warm regards
Deepika:((neeed suggesstions desperately)
Hi Deepika,
Please note that i have created a new thread as from your post on the Iraq Forum for better interaction
Thank you
Maximilien
Best of luck and this is the first time I am hearing that its so difficult. Try to get a representative from you company involved as they know the procedures.
we first approach the representative only...but he seems to be corrupt and fishy...he was asking for 300$ each from both of us...and now when we visited the same place, they didn't ask for any money.....So,thought to try it off ourself first...will find out the truth...the company is new and all the expacts working here are also new.....so that's the case....
So,I didn't feel like to be easily cheated by any body....
Once the truth comes out that it has to be paid...we don't mind paying them...but we shouldn't be fooled by someone....Anyways thanks a lot for all the concerned...
Rgds
