Luxembourg , officially the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a landlocked country in western Europe, bordered by Belgium, France, and Germany.

As a representative democracy with a constitutional monarch, it is headed by a grand duke and is the world's only remaining grand duchy.

Luxembourg is a developed country, with an advanced economy. The city of Luxembourg, the largest and capital city.

Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in Europe, the country is about 2,586 square kilometres in size, and measures 82 km long and 57 km wide.

The population of Luxembourg as of 1 January 2013 was estimated at 537,039 (55.5 % Luxembourgers and 44.5 % of foreign nationality).

The University of Luxembourg is the only university in the country.

There are several notable museums, mostly located in the capital; these include the National Museum of History and Art (MNHA), the Luxembourg City History Museum, and the new Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (Mudam). The National Museum of Military History (MNHM) in Diekirch is especially known for its representations of the Battle of the Bulge.

The city of Luxembourg itself is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Now you know a little bit more about this nice country.
