You csn find decent accomodation between SR 2500 and 3000. This is for any normal Pakistani family. you can go upto 5k a month but thats entirely your choice. For now you can keep 3k in mind. apart from that its not very expensive. 20k is more than enough you will be able to save as well.

Hello,

Congratulations and hope you do well over here. SR 20,000 per month is a reasonable salary but salary and living cost is not the only thing that should affect your decision. You need to know and be sure about the reputation of the company, the visa title you would have and the saudization percentage of the company.

Following is the approximate monthly cost of living over here.

1. Accommodation: Apartment 3,000 to 7,000 depending on the area. House 6,000 with no upper limit and depending if its inside a compound or not.

2. Vehicle: A civic of around SR 50,000 would cost you around 2,500 per month for 2 years. You need to get a personal loan as car on installments are usually new.

3. Utilities: Electricity, water, high speed internet and fuel would cost around 1,000. Fuel being at half the cost of drinking water.

4. Grocery: Monthly grocery for 4 adults should not be costing you around 2,000 to 3,000. You can keep around 1,000 additional for fine dining for four with 4-5 visits to a good restaurant per month.

5. Education for two children would cost you 3,000 to 4,000 per month if its not already covered by the company. You also need to check about airfare which is usually covered once per annum for all family members to the country of origin.

With the costs provided above, you should be able to save more than 5,000 per month depending on your life style and excluding the bonus which is usually 2-3 basic salaries in established companies.

Feel free to message for further clarification.

Thanks Bak, Thats really nice piece of information.

I would appreciate if you can help me with some more information / clearty on below point.

As far as accomodation is concern, whether it would be fournish or unfurnised and what would be included.

Secondly I have only one school going Kid another one is just 1 year old.

Thanks a lot.

You can find both furnished and un furnished accommodation over here, however from my experience, furnished accommodation would cost you around 5,000 to 10,000 per year additional. A furnished place would include all the furniture, kitchen appliances and air conditioners. Some furnished places also have utensils available.

As far as education is concerned, the cost at the Indian school is around SR 500 per month including transportation, term fee etc, however, it is difficult to get admission over there. Reasonable private school would charge you around SR 1,000 TO 1,500 per month per child.
