Inquiry concerning HIIC and Victoria

Post new topic

sigkapouro

Heya,

I am looking to apply for work through the HIIC program: hiic.ca/ to go for work to Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am also looking into applying for further studies in Victoria university. If anyone knows anything about them please do not hesitate to contact me. I am also looking into this "permanent residency" that you need to have before you can apply for citizenship. Can anyone explain what that is and how to get it? Thank you in advance for your time.

James

You have to apply for permanent residency through Citizenship and Immigration Canada before you can come to Canada as anything other than a tourist or student. Tourists and students require another type of visa.

To see if you qualify to get a visa and work in Canada visit the official government website of Citizenship and Immigration Canada and fill out the online forms.

Thank you, will do!

James

Regarding the Helenic Immigration Initiative (HIIC) clearly any help and information you can get is worth having, especially if it's coming from your own ethnic community since it will be more directed to your personal needs.

Yes, I am sure they will get back to me as soon as they can. However, I am looking for someone who has already undergone the whole procedure to share his/hers experiences with me, if at all possible

BTW.... UVic has an excellent reputation. Actually all of the Canadian universities are known worldwide for quality in education. You'll love the city too, Victoria is just like a little piece of Britain in Canada.

Quite expensive though, lets see if they will have me first

James

You'll get no argument from me; having lived in Vancouver for over 28 years before coming to Brazil I can tell you that the Lower Mainland and Victoria are the single most expensive areas in Canada in which to live.

On the other hand you get EXACTLY what you pay for, if you're looking for quality of lifestyle. You can't get much closer to heaven without dying first! LOL
