Hi, I'd like to know about language in Brazil, as I am from the Philippines and I speak english purely and dont have any idea of Brazilian words as I read that the national language is Portuguese...I wanna know any basic words as many as I can before i fly on the month of May this year. Pls can anybody tell me any site where i can learn online? I see this as a very useful one and hoping i will have more knowledge from this..thanks and more power!

Boa tarde = Good after noon.& Good evening
Boa noite = Good night.
Como esta? / como vai? = How are you?
tudo bem? = Everything is fine?
Obrigado(male)= Thanks (A male can say like this)
Obrigada (female) = Thanks (if you are female you can say Obrigada)
