Hi Guys,  I will be visiting HCM from 18th March till 29th March. and during this period I cannot quit my jogging habit  :)

Do you have suggestions about where to jog? Also if anyone intersted for joining me will be great.

P.S: Just do not expect less than 4kms or more than 8kms ;))

Thanks in advance.

There are many parks in HCMC. If you intend to live near parks, it's convenient for jogging and doing other exercises. First you should tell us where do you want to stay then we can suggest  :)

Tao Dan Park on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street and 23/9 Park next to Ben Thanh Market. :)

The problem running in the park is other people there, like mornings and evenings, you may find it too busy. My suggestion would be Vo Van Kiet street, commonly referred to as the East West arterial road, it runs along the canal that separates D1 from D4 and the other areas as you run out. I would have a look, Im no runner and not exactly sure what to advise.

Give these guys a try, they will have a better idea....http://www.saigonhash.com/

There are a lot of parks in hcmc to run. It actually depends on your location. I sometimes join the runclub.vn group, which runs in district 7 phu my hung crescent. They run every saturday there. Its quite a big group, but fun and a good mix of expats and locals.

Don't.

Some snippets from the above sources:

"Due to industrial pollution and vehicles, HCMC is ranked among the worldÂ’s top ten cities for the worst air pollution in the world"

"Lead dust air pollution is increasing in large cities nationwide, especially in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, where pollution levels are two-four times higher than the limit, according to an air quality report by an environmental agency"

"In the dry season, dust concentrations were recorded at 1.47mg/m3, five times the national safe level, while 45% of the results on NO2 concentrations and 67% of the results on benzene concentration also exceed national standards."

"Though the concentration of lead in the residential areas is lower than allowable national standards, it is still higher than many other countries' standards."

I usually walk along the Nhieu Loc channel and it seems to be a good place for jogging. If you want, join with me.  :D
