Hello T, well i have been in Asia for almost 3 years. Lucky for me i made 2 friends in Hong Kong before i arrived. besides these 2 friends i do find it hard to make real friends here cause i guees the culture. I am open and i say hello to many during the day, i ask questions and playing sports i do talk to many but many seem distant or not trustful. either way i still say hello and smile. I lived in Hong Kong for most of the time i have been in Asia and its very packed, loud, tense and people move as they are running to somewhere. Singapore is similar but not as tense i guess. Life in Asia well Hong Kong and Singapore is much harder, colder, busy, and tense then life in South beach, miami (USA). JW

hi thats mean, cant help but comment on yr remarks.people here are too friendly.i get stalkers and people i do not know offering to help me when they think i am lost or something,so they arent ice.the nice, civilised and educated people here are real shy, maybe that could be the reason.you mention euphorian gal.is that a spelling error.its european girls you mean.i have lots of colleagues,i'll ask them for you.and i've worked at uae for work attachment and i found the people there over-friendly,so singapore has a good mix of moderation.iranian families i met in my course of work at uae were real nice and warm.they told me its their culture of their native country.you must be real nice too.try a little more you will find singaporeans are real warm and nice and they adore foreigners over locals due to the socialisation and culture here.

Hiya Natasha,

You will find singapore to be a different animal than when you left.

Life is a bit cold and tense here like JWilliamson said, but there are loads of nice folks out here. Just gotta go and find them.

Welcome back and stay a while :)
