English channels

Dear all,

My husband has got a job in Oman and we are soon to move to Muscat. I am eager to know about the city more. Are there star movies, HBO and other english channels available in Muscat? Are english movie channels allowed to be telecast or are they banned? Should we pay more for the same or are they available on the cable tv? Can somebody fill me in?

Bring your own activated Dish TV Digital Receiver to Oman and continue to see all the same channels that you are seeing now in India.

Thank you Mr. Sumitran for your prompt reply. I haven't heard of activating it here but I will ask around. But are these channels not available in Muscat?

Technically, Dish Digital Receivers are meant for use within India only. You cannot get them activated outside of India.

All the channels that you will receive in India you will also receive in Oman.
