The 7 Stages of applying for Residency

Post new topic

I'm in the system applying for a change of status from Tourist to Rentista (retired person). All my paperwork has been accepted by Migraciones. I'm checking on line everyday and, a couple of weeks ago my stage 4 - Interpol - went from finalised to initiated. There are no General Observations as yet. We went into Brena to the 3rd floor to ask about the change and were told that the application is in process. Does anyone know what the last 3 stages are and how long they may take?
Many thanks

If you go to the internet link on the paperwork you can see your status online.

To get resident status you need to have had your interpol police clearance sorted and that includes the one with your local international police ie in Australia, its The Australian Federal Police. Once that is done you check online and it will tell you to go into the office to sort out your card. Take a spanish speaker with you if you do not speak it already as some days depending who is there, no one will help you in English.
