To become a citizen of the country where you want to settle, you have to marry with a national for at least five years before you can apply for it. That is the most common option. However, each country in Europe are different with different laws but when it becomes to this topic, they are very similar.
You will never get a refugee status because this is only for the people who are really need it and comes from war conflicted countries or when their lives are in danger due political activities.

Thank you for your reply but I don't want to marry and I'm actually from the country where there is a war at the moment. I would like either a refugee status or just find a job and settle.

if you ask for refugee status you are often not allowed to work until a decision is reached, which might take years depending on your case and circumstance. Again, each country has different rules. I have no idea what your chances are of succeeding with this route.

A better way in my opinion would be a regular work permit. You can apply to language schools as a teacher and try to find an employer who is willing to sponsor you. Your Russian language skills might prove more useful than your English ones.... who knows!
