Hi folks,

My parents are coming to Oslo next month on tourist visa and they will be staying here for 6 weeks. My mother has severe ache problem in her toes and she need to take rest after every walk of 10mins.

I would like to know from where can I buy a used manual wheel chair for her. Tried searching finn.no but could only locate some manufacturers in Kristiansand. Does any of you know any other source to get this done in Oslo itself....any hospital offerings??  Also, is there any option for rental wheel chairs in Oslo?

Appreciate your response.

Mvh

you should find wheelchair for rent or maybe as a free loan there:

ECS

I found a thread that said the hjelpemiddelsentralen was for loaning to people in the Norwegian system, that you have to go through your doctor or NAV to get loans there. Do they loan to people using them for visitors?

Thank you all for the inputs. I gonna staright away call NAV to check if a wheel chair can be loaned to visitors.
Probably there shouldn't be any problem since the Schengen visa is issued with a temporary DUF number.
