Hello everybody I and my husband just moved here in Riyadh on Sunday. We are kind of settling in... Though my husband is here on a work visa I am on dependant visa. Can I still get a job ? I am a lawyer by profession. Any kind of help would be much appreciated.  :)

Unfortunately no, you cannot work legally on dependent visa.
However, some schools do take people on dependent visa but they usually pay very less !!

Good luck

Hello Tibah,

I hope you're doing well. You can take up teaching jobs, as mentioned. They do not require a sponsorship transfer. And that's the only option without sponsorship transfer. (It's applicable to a few medical professions, but guess that's not relevant to you)

Now, if at all you're willing to transfer as such, only Saudi citizens are allowed to appear before court as a lawyer, I suppose. But, there are lots of related jobs you can find if you get in touch with an already established lawyer who's willing to help. If you're good with Arabic, then your chances are super high.

Hope this helps. :)
