Best mobile phone connection & Bank account for Indians in Singapore

Hi,

I am moving to Singapore in the last week of august. Need help from the forum members on two things ::

1. Mobile phone connection

Should I go for prepaid or postpaid and which service provider. My primary calling would be to India - around 60 mins per day. I would also need data connection - usage around 2 GB per month. I would like incoming free on my mobile

2. Bank account

Need a bank account with low minimum balance requirements, and cheap overseas funds transfer.

Hi,
if u are looking for prepaid then most telcos are competitive..singtel, starhub and m1. Reasonable prices too
Most local banks are very user friendly. DBS, ocbc and UOB
Where are u intending to put up?

Thanks Paul.. Can you please provide me some info on the points to be noted while taking a phone connection / bank account. The information you have provided is quite concise and I am looking for a little more detail.

I would be staying around Admiralty MRT.
