Any South Africans living in the Philippines?

Hi guys,

I'm planning on getting married early next year to my Filipino fiance, but I'm thinking about staying in the Philippines for a year while we get her paper work sorted so she can come back to South Africa with me so that we don't have to travel back and forth so much. So what I would like to know is how do you as South Africans find the experience of living in the Philippines compared to South Africa? Like hows the internet, food, people...etc? And can you have a proper braai there?

South Africa ranked 86th in the world for speed
Philippines ranked 103rd聽 (2014 figures)

I did check some price sites and saw this:

Groceries Prices in Philippines are 5.47% higher than in South Africa

Thank you for your reply ABCDiamond. Yeah I googled those figures before, but thank you for thanking the time to look them up. I'm looking more for how South Africans experience the culture there, housing...etc compare to here in South Africa.
