Cancellation of Family visa

I am currently on family visa. I have got an employment opportunity and have the required clearance in place. So as per rule I have to exit Oman. My query is , while exiting from Oman, do I need to mandatorily cancel my Family visa ?

Is it only after that my new employer can apply for my employment visa ?

Indeed yes. Otherwise how could your new employer apply for your employment via ?

It is not possible to have 2 valid visas at the same time and in the same passport !

yes you have to cancel the previous one to let employment to be valid.
