Hello

We are having major issues communicating with the Municipality in Port Louis, we cannot get anybody to respond to our queries regarding a planning application. Letters are mostly unanswered, responses are generic and of no use to us. It seems the officials are being deliberately obstructive. Does anybody have the contact details for the Mauritian equivalent of the public services ombudsman here in the UK?

Or have knowledge of who we can register a complaint with? Who is responsible for the architectural profession in Mauritius?

Thanks

Hello, I don't I'm afraid, but are you going there and trying to see someone face to face? That seems the only way to get things done in general with a lot of professionals here and to build a relationship with a person. Very frustrating and time consuming but it's generally 'out of sight out of mind' otherwise.

I suggest you request an appointment with the mayor. Say it's a personal matter than can only be discussed with the mayor.
