Would anyone be interested in mailing a PR postcard?

Okay, this might sound a bit odd but please try to hear me out. Part of our moving to PR process involves getting the inlaws to come with us. They're not against the idea or anything but we'd like to see them as excited about it as we are.

I had an idea today- how much fun would it be to mail them a "Wish you were here" postcard from PR?

Unfortunately I do not yet live there and have no way to physically do that. If anyone here would be able to help I would love that! I'd be happy to reimburse you too of course (or do a postcard exchange if you're interested in getting a Minnesota one.)

I just thought this would be a fun thing to do. I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it too.

Sounds like fun! Send me their address. You can email it to me frogrock51@hotmail.com or I think you can send me a private message through this website.

Send me a private message with their address. I'll mail one next week when I'm back on the island.

Very cool idea, BTW :)

This is a great idea! Trying to get my mother on board and this is a cute way to keep  the  conversation going.

I love the idea also. Just send me your address by private message on this sight and I will be sure to send them a postcard.

When are you looking to move here?  It is certainly paradise.

Take care,

Tonie

Thanks for all of the generous offers. You guys really are great!

I'm gonna get their address from my husband today and I'll send out a PM or two.

We're looking to move during the summer/off-season. Depending on the time of year we might all go down to visit first or just my husband to look at houses.

First we have to finish some work on our place here so we can get it on the market. Right now I'm decluttering stuff. We're deciding what we'd like to keep. I'm always very slow/bad at packing so I've decided to start early this time instead of doing it at the last minute.

My MIL wants to go down and see the sights, get a feel for the different cities. I think they'll really like it. Worse case scenario- instead of Cabo Rojo we set them up near Rincon. ^_^

Start preparing your house for sale as soon as possible if you are committed to move to PR. Best time to sell your place is around Spring and Early summer.

So get on with painting and repairs as soon as possible, packing can wait a little, the sooner the property is in the market the sooner it will sell.

We are in the same boat except we are committed and know where we want to live which is close to my family.

If our house doesn't sell right away that's fine but I really don't see it being a big issue in my neighborhood.

Besides packing we actually don't have that much to do inside. The big outside projects will have to wait until the weather is warmer here and the snow is gone. Our daughter doesn't get out of school until June so we won't be leaving before then anyways.

There's really no reason to rush for us. PR isn't going anywhere.
