I have seen that some members are interested in Waha Oil Company. So I did a little search on our famous 'Google friend' while hoping that it may be useful for members who want some information about this company.

Company Profile
Waha Oil Company is considered to be the second biggest oil producer in Libya. Waha Oil Company operates four oil fields; the biggest of which isÌý Waha Oil Field. The Es-Sider Oil Terminal is situated on the Libyan coast, about 180 km from the city of Sirte and from here oil is shipped to other countries. The terminal is equipped with four shipping berths for the reception of cargo ships and has nineteen crude oil tanks.Ìý
In addition to operating the oil fields under its control, Waha Oil Company also handles large quantities of oil for a number of companies, including Wintershall, Total and Zuietina, through its production lines running from the Sirte Basin to Es-Sider terminal.
Waha Oil Company (WOC) is owned by National Oil Corporation (NOC) in a joint venture with three American companies namely ConocoPhillips, Marathon and Amerada Hess. These companies are now back working as partners since Jan 2006 after having left in 1986 when it was known as Oasis Oil Company.
Recent Achievement
Faregh oil and gas field has recently become operational. This newest oil field is situated about 60 km to the south west of Gialo oil field. The Faregh field was first discovered in 1962 but because of the complex geological nature of the field and due to economic reasons, the field was left undeveloped by the company at that time.
On the First of September 2003, completion of the first phase was celebrated Faregh field development of phase II has already started. Basic and detailed engineering are in progress.
