Hei,anyone here have experience how long it will takes to get a grant visa from embassy here in Philippines for family visa in Norway??i am married with Norwegian guy in norway and we have son born in norway.

Hazel06:   Why not inquire directly at the Norwegian Embassy, Philippines?   Or go online, just type Norwegian Embassy, Philippines.  This way you get the info you need correctly.   If I am able to get such information myself from the official source...I'm sure you can too.
By inquiring the expat forum on official matters, you might end up getting the wrong information.  Mabuti nang magusisa diretso sa Emassy...para tama at sapat ang informasyon na makukuha mo.  Have fun in Norway!

But I'm here in Norway right now,and still waiting for my family visa to process.but it takes too long to wait, one of my friend go back to her country and apply for family visa therein embassy just 3weeks she is granted family visa. We are almost same case soon I am 2 years here in norway. So I planning when I born my baby here I go back to Phil. And apply a family visa. Maybe it will be ok ?

Sorry....your post seem to say that you are in the Philippines trying to get a visa to Norway.   But since you are in Norway...and you already applied for a visa (to what country?) ..all you have to do is inquire at the office where you file for your visa and find out why it's taking so long!   Can your husband help you out?  Not knowing the details of your situation I am not sure anyone in the expat forum can help you out.   Experiences from others about visa issues will vary from person to person.  It may not match your situation...so you can't rely on someone else's circimstances to base your experience on.  Best is just go to that office who processed your visa and find out what's taking so long.  And take it from there.   Best of luck to you.

Hi! I don't know if I understood your situation/question correctly... the way I understood situation is that you have already lodge your family reunification in Norway and you are asking whether its ok or not to go home to Phils and lodge another family reunification?

To answer your question, I would say just wait for the decision on your current application... I don't think you will be allowed to leave Norway while you have a visa application on process.

I have also lodge my family reunification here in Norway just this year and took 8 mos to get finalised and get approval. I understand the feeling of frustration of waiting a long time with quick processing stories on visa applications lodge in the Phils, I felt the same way too.

Have you been in regular contact with UDI? As for me I made sure to give UDI a call every month to ask for updates although I know they will just tell me the same thing...

I hope you get good news soon.

*The general processing time for applications is 4 mos upon UDI's receipt of your application... It may take less or more time since politi is now able to approve visa application.

I see... I had an entirely different situation.. but I hope you get the answer you want. It sometimes helps calling UDI from time to time, just to remind them that there is someone waiting.

Hello, we have the situation. My fiance's ex wife is a Filipina too and also already a Norwegian citizen. I applied a fiancé visa but it was denied due to his ex wife was granted a family reunification visa before too when they process her papers here in Philippines. The UDI ask us to present a document that their divorce is registered here in Philippines which we don't know.
How is your application by the way?
