Advice for south african mom on schooling

Post new topic

My husband has been offered a job in Singapore, We will be visiting soon to have a look at schools, housing etc. My biggest concern as a mom  is helping the kids to fit in. My 2 girls are 12 and 15. They both do very well in a private school in south africa but I am very worried about them coping in Singapore.

Hello, we have just moved to Singapore with our 7 year old twins.  I think that actually we mums worry more about the kids going to a new school than they do!  My kids have been at their new school for 2 weeks now and are enjoying it.  Major problem are the waiting lists that most of the international schools have.  In fact, when we moved, only 2 international schools had availability so we had to choose 'blind' before we actually moved over and pay the semester fees!.  Best thing to do is look on the internet and call the schools to see who has availability in the first place.

Hope this helps.
