Student part time job near sonderborg campus

Post new topic

I am starting my studies in university of Southern Denmark coming September. Is here anyone who could offer me a part time job nearby.actually I am seeking for 2500dkk per month. Or else is there an one who can give me free accommodation  until I find a part time job ? The reason is my scholarship covers only 2000dkk per month

Nellie Berg

I don't think you shall count on finding a job or a free accommodation this way.

When it is time, you will probably be able to find a paper delivery round, which is pretty well paid. It will be tough as it is night work, but as a start it may be a solution for you.

I don't think it is realistic that people will house a totally unknown person just for free.

I guess that you are going to study at the main campus in Odense and not at one of the five regional campuses? If so, the municipality of Odense guarantees that foreign students have a temporary housing (not free) before study start until a permanent housing is available.

Thank you Nellie.yes I understand what you say. Problem is i'm comming there with minimal account balance. So I am afraid of what would happen if I could not  find a part time job. I don't want to go back to my country leaving the degree. If I can arrange a job before I arrive there that is more secured. No,my university is sonderborg campus, not odense.

As a student you shall be very careful not to work more than the allowed 20 hours a week (every week, not an average). This rule is administrated very, very strictly.

Else I'll advise you to ask the study counsellors at the campus. I can see that they offer to help with advice regarding study jobs, too.

There is a job bank here:

Maybe, you will be able to get a scholarship:

And not to forget, Sønderborg also offers a housing guarantee to all students.

Thank you Nellie. You are a great help. I will look into what you recommend

You are always welcome back here, but I hope it will not be necessary.
