Hello everyone,

Did you plan your budget before your move to Qatar? If so, how did you go about it?

How do you save money in your day to day life? Do you find there are any areas where you can't cut costs?

Do you have any tips about saving money in Qatar? For example, getting the best deals on accommodation, grocery shopping and dining out, the best value transportation, etc..

Are there any apps or websites that have helped you to save money?

My saving tips are based on advice I received from another expat, who has been living here for many years. Basically this person has seen many expats come and go and more often than not leave with very little to show for their time here!
Basically, do not buy the most expensive car, rent the fanciest apartment in The Pearl, do expensive brunches every Sunday at 5 star hotels, eat expensive steak dinners every night, that sort of thing, that should be common knowledge, but people seem to "celebrate" first, then regret it later!
