Opening a bank ac and getting a mobile sim

Could anybody please advise how to open a bank ac and how to get a mobile sim? Is a civil id essential? I am reaching kuwait in a few days 'time.

Hallo Rajasri - for a bank account you need a civil ID. For a mobile sim card passport is enough.

No need civil I'd
Go in NBK bank. they need just passport copy.
And visa copy.
NBK(national bank of Kuwait).
Submit civil I'd after u get it.

Hi,

Yes you will need a civil id no to open an account in bank, it's very easy to get, . You can then immediately open a easily in NBK using the same.

For sim cards you can find sim cards at airport itself, but they are little expensive, you can get sim card easily available at any mobile store by submitting your passport photocopy. You can go for Ooredoo or Zain they are very good for expats.
