Growing a lemon tree in the Philippines

I like lemons, and would like to plant a lemon tree in my backyard. I'm guessing they would thrive well in the Philippines' tropical climate. But I can't seem to find a store or nursery that sells lemon saplings or young trees. And I'm afraid that if I buy from a nursery, there might be a misunderstanding and I could end up planting a citron, or some other citrus fruit, and find out years later when the tree starts bearing fruit.

I was planning to grow one from a seed. Would that even work if I use the seeds from an imported lemon fruit, like a Sunkist brand lemon? Need advice.

I used seeds from imported lemons, most of them sprouted and are growing nicely.

I did some research on this. The tree from a lemon seed will not yield fruit that looks like the lemon from which the seed came. Better to get a grafted tree.

I doubt I could find a grafted lemon tree here in the Philippines. Oh well. Thinking of planting instead a grafted Mandarin orange tree or ponkan.
