Tallinja Card - How long does the process take ?

Post new topic

BlueOctupus

Hi,

My car has numerous issues and I'm unable to use it, so I need
a Tallinja card urgently.

I've visited the Malta transport website and I intend to use the
online application process to obtain my card.
Does anyone  know how long it will take to receive my Tallinja card
by post to my home address ?  I've recently moved to Nadur in Gozo.

  Thanks

GozoMo

You can apply at the bus station as well.

Hi Blue,
Mine was received within two weeks after completing it online. However, I was informed it only takes a few days when it is completed at the information office based at the bus terminus.  You can check it out.
All the best.

You can apply for the tallinja card online when you have a Residence Card. It takes about 4 wekks to receive this card by mail. If you do not have a residence card you have to go to one of the offices of Malta transport. People in the bus station or Mr. Said of Transport Malta, in the office upstairs near the terminus will advise you accordingly.

Thanks all for your good advice.   Yes I have a residence card,
so it would be easier for me to apply online.  I've heard that
the registration fee is 10 euros - Is this true ?

hanselmar

To my knowledge there is no registration fee, but a minimum top up which is 5 Euros. However, it might be better to start with 10 Euros.

The €10 is putting money on your card for you to use.

You do not need to have ID to apply online. I applies online being a tourist. After me also my friends applied. One TCN, one EU citizen. In all cases card arrived within 3-5 days. In case of TCN we used passport number to apply.
