The night has had to be postponed due to some unforseen circumstances(visa issues, a dangerous dog and rabies shots).

Sorry to hear its been postponed, and even more so to find so little uptake, I think it's a great idea, sadly I lack any talent to be able to partake as an entertainer... Here's hoping the new date improves the uptake for acts :-)

i think its a great idea and something new for people. let us no wen it will be on next i will join with 1 or 2 friends and maybe perform something along the way also. it will be more comedy then professional lol

Actually....falling over comes naturally for for me after about 8pm at the pub   :p

From 9:30pm onwards there will be an open mic nioght in Bernie's bar in District 1. Come down and participate or just watch. It might not be the second coming of Christ but it should be a laugh.

Goobag, two days notice isn't a lot of time to spread the word or rearrange plans already made.

Goobagga - Open mic comedy in Saigon! i am an Australian based open mic comic who is in saigon august 14-16 and keen to put a night on... anyone interested? am coming over with my family and am heading up to hoiann and hanoi after saigon...cant wait. rogman

i got the dates mixed up, and am flying in monday 15 aug to saigon at this stage, ... and then bugging out wednesday 17th up to danang.

let me speak with my wife about changing things around either side of these dates...probably easier to add an extra night in saigon at this stage making the comedy night the wednesday 17th - i know you prefer a friday, but see what you think of a one off midweek night?

i have fired emails off to a few people and venues, bernie included, and he says he is keen to put something on, and it would be great to hook in with the local comics - with the comedy nights  here in Canberra we get 50 along which makes for a good sized crowd.

cant wait for the heat, Canberra is struggling into double figures most days but thats about it...

Goo, bernie is going to put us downstairs on the 17th and has his own PA. can hold 40-50 comfortably, i checked out some youtubes vid and it looks like Good times. last time i did one of these we put suggested donations of 50,000 vn on the flyer (about 2 aussie), what do you think? drop us an email and i can send you some promo flyers and text to see what you reckon, cheers rog

I will be there, ill bring 2 or 3 ppl with me , its a good idea charging 50k a person but people will not want to pay this money even as we no its very small change, free comedy night means free comedy night

well i have told some friends and they say they will come and actually do the stand up,,, but i can not say weather they will even turn up so nobody knows.... me and my Irish friend will defiantly stand up for 3 minutes and give it a go..... not sure how good it will be dho but either way the joke will be funny or we will be funny trying to say a good joke lol

That's the stuff man. Get up and give it a crack. I'm going to do a 10 minute monologue on dealing with my own mortality. I cry at the end. You'll definitely be funnier than that.
