Getting ready to make the permanent move to Udon Thani, Thailand

Post new topic

UK2ASIA

Hi everyone.

My partner, (who is originally from Thailand) and myself have been living together in the UK for the last seven years.

We are building a house in Udon and are planning on moving there permanently very soon.

I am a currency trader and so can work from anywhere.

Only now am I beginning to think about small details of things that need to be dealt with.

Be prepared for many to come but for now, those who have already moved away from the UK, what do you do about an address on your UK drivers license?

You should apply for a Thai license if you plan to drive here, its quite straight forward, you have to fill out some forms and watch a video which lasts about 45 minutes. BTW it helps a lot if you are married to a Thai in regards to visa's and other formalities, especially if you plan to work although being a currency trader you may not need to bother and if you are living in Udon Laos is so close for a visa run makes it pretty easy.  Regarding your address if you still have a London mail address use that otherwise use your Thai address.

I’m also planning to move to Udon Thani
Love the fact you trade currency
Is it viable ? I have been offered a coaching session to learn how to

Thank you for your concise reply.

I hold a Thai driving license already but just didn't want to give up my UK drivers license once I make the move.

Trading FX for a living is viable as long as you work with and learn from a genuine mentor.

Be careful as there are so many scams out there and so called coaches who don't even trade themselves.
