Living well. Business opportunities. Worth reading

Hi/Salut
Semi-retired company director/professor of business, and keen volunteer.  I would be grateful to hear from people who have migrated and would be generous enough to share their experiences/knowledge/ideas.  Three questions;
After living in London, Paris, Melbourne and Munich I'm now used to living a very modest life in a quiet rural area of France, and look for a small Mauritian community (a few services/restaurant/bar/small supermarket) where I can contribute to/be part of the life there).  Where's a good place for daily, healthy, friendly life?

Would like to use my extensive international experience/skills in business to support young idealist/entrepreneur who is bright enough to know that an old hand may be useful, but who no longer wants to work 60 hour weeks.  Very open to people who might think a "suit" like me could never be their "cup of tea".

Planning to make a two month visit for research later in the year, so any recommendations for that gratefully received.

Thanks for taking the time to read, I'll respond to everyone.
Kindly
Alan
