If I want to edit videos and post them on youtube can I use any editing software? How to know if a certain software is legal to use and edit videos?

This sounds very off topic for this site! Why post this here instead of just Googling such a question?

Hi Tom, I use an MP4 converter and then use iMovie on my Mac, you can add sound effects and music there also and a few other bits that are worth checking out on YouTube

I have a YouTube channel already and post videos on them, I use Final Cut pro or Adobe premier they both have features that automatically connects to your YouTube channel and post videos, with the title and tags and hashtags

Adobe Premiere, or Powerdirector, but the former is pretty standard.

You should be able to use just about any editing software you want and then upload the file directly to YT.
