Best cities for retirement in France

Post new topic

Hello everyone,

An increasing amount of people want to spend their retirement abroad. Would you consider giving a few tips to those looking into France for their retirement?

What are the most attractive cities for retirees in France?

Why are these the best cities in France for retirement (quality of life, cost of living, climate, health, security, etc.)?

Are there any specific areas in France where there are special retirement schemes or retirement-friendly residential areas?

Are there any activities suitable for retirees in France?

Do you have any tips on where to start looking or how to choose a suitable city for oneÂ’s retirement in France?

If you have, yourself, chosen to spend your retirement abroad, please tell us what city you have chosen and why?

Please share your experience.

Hello

I think better to go to Spain or Portugal.
Because:
Taxes are very very low in comparison with France
All is cheap
More ambiance
More things to do
Better weather
For my point of view people is more open with foreign in spain or Portugal
What you know from films or television is not true regarding France
I am going to return to Spain. In some weeks
Also this is personal but I am/will be more happy is Spain.
Best Regards
Carlos
