Dear All

I am applying for my type D visa from India to Belgium. But it is ok if i book a flight to India to Paris and stay in Paris for few days and then go to belgium? So my arrival city will be Paris not Brussels.

Why do you want to invite trouble. Land in Belgium, settle down, take a train to Paris.

From my own experience, it would be ok if you can show your itinerary from Paris to Belgium within arrival date. But if you want to stay there a couple of days, you have to bet on your luck.

Thanks everyone for your response. I called the embassy and confirmed. They said stay is not allowed but if it is a transit then it is fine.
