We brought all of our home decor items from the U.S., as many of them are antiques and would look well-placed in a 200+ year old farmhouse (not to mention the sentimental value). We supplemented our existing items with purchases from Emmaus (the equivalent to Goodwill or Salvation Army here), FB Marketplace, Conforama and IKEA. We bought two couches, a bed, mattress, antique picture frames, a vestiaire (hall tree), and two small bureaus.

Just as in the U.S., I wouldn't say there is a specific style. Most stores carry very modern furniture and more traditional items can be found in vide greniers, charity shops or online resellers (leboncoin).

There are lots of options here in France to add the finishing touches to your home.

Hello to all,
We are are from Belgium,Dutch part,  and we both one year ago an old railroad station house build in te 1890 en functioned as so till the 1950,  in Charente maritime
We booth it total equipped with original French and accents of British furniture.
By ourselves,  we gave the kitchen a original/new look (ikea) and little by little we moving our own furniture, antique/modern.
Over a few years we move permanently to France.
We looking around when visiting vide greniers for little things.
