Flying with Turtles/Alternative Turtle Home

I have a turtle and I am heading back to the United States this week. The plan was to get him approved before I left to bring him home, but neither the airlines or CDC has gotten back to me about the details or what I need to do. I would hate to bring him to the airport and have him get taken away. Does anyone have any experience flying with turtles? Would anybody be interested in taking him? Please reach out in the next 24 hours if interested.
