Post new topic

Rightchice198407

Hello All..

Want some of the information regarding final exit and leaving job from Bahrain and going to start new job in India.

1. What are the different formalities need to be completed before final leaving.
2. Is it required to cancel or surrender CPR and driving license to government before leaving from Bahrain? Is it possible to cancel same through online from home country?
3. If I am on vacation and currently at home country and want to resign from home country only then is it possible to do so and if yes then how to complete this formality Like how to surrender CPR, driving license and close the bank account and surrender the mobile Sim card etc.

Kindly guide me with the above information.

Awaiting for reply.....

I think one will not get any reply unless one send message personally in their account.

Your employer needs to cancel your visa in the system.

No need to surrender CPR or license.

Bank account you also don't need to close. Just take out all of the money and eventually when your visa in their record expires, they will mark the account dormant and then after a while, delete it. To actually close it you need to be there in person.

For SIM, if it's prepaid, don't bother.  It will finish if you don't recharge for a while. For postpaid and contract, you have to physically go with your cpr, settle dues and close. You can try calling them to see if your provider offers an option to close without visit but I doubt it.

Thank you XTang  for your reply....

Will my employer cancel my visa in system if i resigned through mail or through phone call ?  (As I am on vacation and currently at home country and want to resign from home country only)   - i knew it is silly question but want to know general things like in this way may be people resigned in past and have some experience on this.

Because what my employer will do - how can one tell even i am also not knowing it, but will try through mail and tell them to accept my resignation as i don't want to come back and ready to pay till date dues from my side. Hope my employer agree and relieve me.

Any other way to tell about the resignation to employer or any other way to get it accepted ?

XTang

Accepting of resignation is up to your employer.  I doubt that they won't accept it....at max they may create issues with your end of service.

OK...Thanks for the information.

Do they check in the airport before you exit if i didn't close/terminate my existing contract in stc?and can i pay them there just in case?thanks

XTang

No they don't check.   And it is an issue only if a case has been filed on you and a travel ban issued.

snazzy91

Do one need to keep minimum balance in account or at zero balance too it goes into dormant?

XTang

Irrespective of balance, an account that doesn't have any activity, gets marked as dormant after a period of time.

@Llorea hi Llorea, I was wondering about your final exit from Bahrain, did the airport check anything about your stc plan when you were checking out at the immigration? Thank you.

Horay

@XTang hi there, sir. So it's valid that the airport won't check any of our simcard plans on their system? Like if we had any issues or unpaid bills,   Thank you.

XTang
No.  Read the whole thread - only time you have issues is if a case has been filed by the telecom provider against you.
Horay

@XTang thank you for your reply. And I can see on travel ban page if the telecom had been filed on me?

XTang
Not case filed but execution court judgement.

I am leaving Bahrain after resignation, after my departure only I can claim my travel and baggage benefits. 1. Is it required to surrender my CPR.
2. Is the bank account closed soon after my leaving the country. Then how can get the travel allowances.
3. Is the organization request for termination of my residence permit immediately the date of leaving the oragnization? or some period is given for my departure.

1. You don't need to surrender your CPR
2. It depends on the bank usually they can keep it open even after you exit, you can speak to them and get clarity on this point or give your home country bank account details to your employer and ask them to transfer it directly to it.
3. Once your employer cancels your visa you have 30 grace days to exit the country.

Good luck!

There is a slight difference with the CPR - If this is your first CPR and never renewed it then you do not need to surrender. In case it has been renewed or duplicated and the company has paid the fees, you will have to surrender it. If the renewal fees are paid from your end, You do not need to surrender them.

The banking system in Bahrain is not like it is in Saudi.  It resembles the system that used to be in place in the UAE before the Emirates ID was properly linked.  This means that they take prints of your passport, residence visa and CPR/CPR Read................then remind you whenever one of the documents is expiring.  The account will remain open until or unless one of the documents in their record expires.......after a few months of reminders, the account will become inactive until you submit the updated documents.

Hi XTANG, I would like to ask if the immigration in Bahrain won't question you if you don't have a valid working permit visa once you exit the country?

If you have an active contract with a telecom provider it won't be an issue as well even if you will exit with an expired work permit visa, unless there's a case filed against you or you have a travel ban?

XTang

If you leave within 30 days of visa expiry or cancellation, no issue.  Otherwise you have to pay an overstay fine before you go to the airport.  Secondly, if no case filed, it is ok.

@XTang appreciate your response. Thank you.

It's always recommended to exit the country legally to avoid any issues in the future.
