Hi All,

Does anyone have experience of using a live in/out nanny or babysitter for a job that has unsociable hours?

Thank you :)

I know a number of Filipinas who work as nannies, some of whom live in. A few are illegally in Spain having arrived as ‘servants’ of rich families, and then ‘ran away’

If one has been illegally in spain, i think for three years, and can prove they have been employed, they can apply to become legal, as illogical as that sounds.

Perhaps actually! Any experience either hiring or as an au pair?

Thank you 😀

That's such a shame for those people to live like that. I'm not sure that would be a suitable solution to my situation but it does explain why I saw adverts looking specifically for Filipino babysitters. 😔

My mother went into a retirement home some years ago in uk.

Had i known then what I know now,  I would have engaged a live in Filipino career.

I know they would have treated each other as mum and daughter and my mum would have a much better and happier time than she had in the retirement home.
