Hi There,

My name is Derek Theart (36), i own a Rope Access Company in Cape Town, South Africa.
We specialize in painting, structural repairs, waterproofing & cleaning of windows.

We are looking to move our business to Mauritius.

What is the best and easiest way to open a company and are there any companies i can contact to help with the process.

My wife (35) is in Real estate for the pas 15 years, what would be the places for her to look for any job opportunities.

Any help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Contact the EDB, they will provide you all the necessary guidelines. Here are some general information but make sure you contact them for more in depth infos (business plan, market opportunities, feasibility etc) .

There are companies that specialise in taking care of all the administrative procedures. I won't be able to recommend any but I hope other members of the forum might give you their feedback.

Have you ever been to Mauritius ?

Finding work from abroad can be complicated, however, your wife can still browse through the job boards listed at the bottom of the Work in Mauritius article. Professional networking is very important while looking for a job in Mauritius. Try LinkedIn, it could open some doors for her and if you can, investigate on the spot.

P.S The country has not fully opened the borders and for those wishing to come to Mauritius, there is a 14 days compulsory paid quarantine.
