I will be migrating to Ho Chi Minh City soon, and I plan to stay for couple of years.

From the web I realised viettel is a good mobile phone network.

But I am not getting correct details on data packs.

For example in India Airtel offers,
3GB/day for 28 days is Rs.398 (6$),
with unlimited call and SMS.

Can someone advice me with similar kind of package ?

My wif just updated mine at Viettel to 2GB mo/60GB mo for 200,000VND - about $8.00.聽 I don't know if it's unlimited call and SMS but I haven't had any issues.

I have Mobifone, 4gb per day at 150k per month. Free calls to other Mobifones and a certain limit of other free calls.

I am a pay-as-you-go user, still with the same sim card from a "tourist" package I purchased in August, 2018, so they are trying to get me to switch over to a monthly package:

I pay 90k per month for unlimited calls within MobiFone network, 50 minutes to other networks, and 120GB (4GB/day) of internet data. No registration.

I've never used up the allowance because almost everyone in VN uses WhatsApp, Viber, Zalo, and Messenger.聽 My very long calls to the States are made weekly on WhatsApp or Google Hangouts.聽 Essentially, the only calls that use the allowance are to shops, which are about 15 - 20 minutes/month if that.
