South African Partner joining EU national in Ireland

Post new topic

Hi there,

I hope you are all well.

My partner and myself are planning to move to Ireland. I’m German and he’s South African. In order for him to join me as a permitted family member does he need to apply for a Visa already when he enters Ireland, even though South Africa is a non Visa required country? If so, which Visa?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards,

Bopha
