Appointment with the Policia Federal in RJ

Good evening all.

Happy New year and wishing you all the best in 2021

I would聽 like to extend my current RNM card (which expired in November) and my understanding is that all RNM cards/visas need to be extended by the cut off date of 16th March 2021. However I have filled in the form on the Policia Federal website to extend my RNM card (under soliciticao de substituicao da carteira CRNM - is this correct?) with success but I am having trouble making an appointment with the Policia Federal in Rio.

Are appointment slots opened up weekly on a first come first serve basis. At the moment it seems there are no appointments available for the foreseeable future.
