Hello Expats,
I'm moving to Wroclaw in 2 weeks. If you have any suggestions/recommendations, please send me a message. I do not know anyone in the city and would love to meet new friends.
Looking forward to the new adventure.
Hello, Hellosunshine
1 - Download the Polish language pack for Google Translate
2 - Make sure your phone is unlocked to any network so you can buy a local SIM
3 - Make sure your charger works with 220v so you can recharge your phone - and buy a travel adaptor so you can plug it in
If you can't do 2 and 3, buy something like a Samsung A11 at the first phone shop you see in Poland, then do point 1
4 - Use Google maps - It's great and will stop you:
getting lost
getting ripped off by taxi drivers
5 - Don't pack any preconceptions
6 - Pack loads of patience and a wide open mind

Hello everyone,
I have been in Poland since last 3.5 months, however, I will be moving from Lodz to Warsaw in couple of weeks. Can't agree more with @Richard, learning the language will definitely help in socializing, as well as adapting to the place in a much better way.
Looking forward to more suggestions and activities around.

If you don't speak Polish, almost impossible to get a job here. How are you going to communicate with patients?
Many people don't know English here.
Priority to UE citizens and Ukrainians whom we can understand.
Need for a visa if you want to work here. You won't get it if you don't have a work contract. The employer has to prove the newcomer possesses a qualification in shortage in Poland.

Hey,
My name is Lauren and I’m looking to move from England to Poland with my boyfriend.
I have learnt some polish but I am curious about the jobs available to me over there. I would ideally like something remote so I can work from home. How likely is that? Would I be better finding an English company to work for or would that not be possible?
Also any handing information would be much appreciated.
Thanks oxox

Hello everyone, thank you for the welcome.
I've been living in Gdańsk, Poland for over 2 years now. Learning a new language can be hard, but with Polish it is even harder, so it is going slow. I decided it is time to join a community to reach out to fellow expats.
